Policy
Funds must be used for a genuine educational function (one where information
gained will benefit patients).
Individual gifts of minimal value are allowed as long as the gift is related
to individual's work (pens, note pads, etc.).
Funds are not to be given directly to an individual, unless it is a speaker
or focus group honorarium on the individual's own time. Such a relationship
could influence the use of a particular manufacturer's product.
No gifts shall be accepted if there are "strings attached".
